Valais blacknose sheep
Known as "the cutest sheep on Earth" these beautifully striking wool sheep are one of a kind. Originating from the Valais region of Switzerland, these sturdy and coarse-wooled sheep date back to 1400 AD and are known to love mountainous conditions. Since importing is illegal, the US began breeding programs in 2016. Back in 2024, we became the first VBSS registered Valais Blacknose sheep breeder in West Virginia. Our flock began with six breed-ups and has grown to 15 beautiful, wooly friends.

Hair Sheep
Purebred Dorpers
Dorper sheep are known for their hardiness and easy care. Originally raised in South Africa, these sheep have adapted to living and thriving in climates all over the US. On our farm, the black-headed Dorpers are used for breeding and recipients for our VBN embryos.
Purebred Katadhins
Katadhins are known for their parasite resistance and excellent mothering skills so they are very valuable to us as recipients ewes on our farm. We have loved raising this easy to care for hair sheep variety.
Katadhin Dorper Cross
Since we only had one ram during our 2025 breeding season, we decided to have our Katadhin ram, Fiddle, breed some of our Dorper ewes to see how his larger build and red coloring mixed with our black headed Dorper ewes. The results have been some gorgeous and hardy cross-breed lambs!
