Our Story

The start of baker blooms

Erica spent most of her childhood following her Grandma Millie around her farm since it just happened to be right down the road. From holding down sheep to be shorn to squeezing back through the raspberry bushes, there were plenty of jobs and ways to help out. The garden makes her feel nostalgic for the days she spent weeding irises, picking & peeling apples to make apple butter over an open fire in the backyard.

Quickly after moving to her own farm, Erica decided to try her hand at growing a cut flower garden on a quarter-acre plot. The idea for “Baker Blooms” was born and once again, Loree Mayer hand-drew a beautiful logo to help grow the cut-flower business here at Double B Ranch. What started with 85 peony plants in 2024 has grown to planting fruit trees, zinnias, countless vegetables, and over 400,000 seeds this year.

If you give a girl a flower bed, she’ll also need some bees! We added two hives in Spring 2025 and are hoping to add honey to the farm offerings for Fall 2026. Also sign up for our newsletter for updates on seasonal offerings from the farm, including bouquets, cut flowers, honey, eggs & more!
