We do ask that you read over the FAQ below and feel free to send us any additional questions or concerns before your visit! We do require all visitors to sign a waiver before coming onto the property for everyone's safety. We hope to share our wild & wonderful corner of the world soon.
What do I need to know before visiting the farm?
What should I expect on my visit to the farm?
During your visit, you will be walking through fields and uneven ground. Please let us know if there are any mobility concerns for visitors and we can make arrangements ahead of time. There will most likely be mud and there will definitely be animal droppings, both large and small. We will give you a small amount of history of the property and then explain the different projects we have running at the time. We love to chat about our animals as well as gardening and land conservation.
How much will we interact with the animals?
You will be allowed to interact with the animals based on a few factors. One being the animal’s temperament. We will do our best to schedule visits during what we believe to be the best hours for the animals so they can be the most receptive to human interaction, but they are animals. If they are being temperamental and not able to be handled safely, we will make the call to reschedule your visit. Both visitor and animal safety and happiness are our top priorities. Are there any age restrictions?
For general visits to the farm, there are no age restrictions. For animal interactions, we will need to limit those to children 5 and older and a parent must accompany anyone below age 10. Photo sessions without direct animal contact can be arranged for younger children/families. All visitors will need to sign a waiver before any visit.
What do I wear?
During your visit, we will be walking in mud, tall grass, and animal droppings of all shapes and sizes. Closed-toed shoes are required. Please be aware we will be outside for most of the tour so sun and insect protection are recommended! Generally, avoiding anything irreplaceable or easily stained are not recommended..Please be aware there are honey bees on property. They are not inside the animal fencing or meet and greet area but they are nearby and in the flower gardens.
